Short bio of the instructor:

Martin Blais is a software development consultant/contractor with a background in computer graphics.

After having completed an E.E. degree at École Polytechnique de Montréal and an M.Sc. in computer science at Université de Montréal in 1997, he went on to work for high-end graphics companies such as Softimage and Autodesk/Discreet, developing graphics rendering and compositing software. Further work in startup companies led him to eventually form his own company and offer independent consulting services. Since 2006, he has shifted his focus on finance and high-frequency trading applications.

Martin fell in love with Python in the year 1999. His interest has only grown since and he went on to develop various applications using the technology in a wide range of scenarios, from developing extension modules, desktop applications, financial trading algorithms, database-backed websites and more. Everything his fingers touch seems to be become Pythonized these days.
